Fabric/ Yarn Donations needed!!!!
The women at Fraser Valley Institution, the federal prison in Abbotsford, have offered to make place mats and other quilted items for the Silent Auction at the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Society’s AGM in Ottawa. The proceeds will go towards scholarships for the incarcerated women in the Pacific Region.
We are looking for donations of quilting cotton, in pieces of one half meter or more, printed or plain; and yarn or wool #4 weight, as they are also making afghans.
Claire has agreed to have a box in the Cathedral office for the donations, and anything that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Mollie Both will be going down to the prison again on May 20th and will take the box with her then.
