World Day of Prayer
March 4, 2016 1pm at St. Paul’s
The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement which brings Christians of many traditions together to observe a common day of prayer each year. Through preparation and participation in the worship service, we can come to know how our sisters of other countries, languages and cultures understand the Biblical passages in their context. We can hear their concerns and needs and can feel ourselves in solidarity with them as we pray with and for them. In this way, it is possible to enrich our Christian faith as it grows deeper and broader in an international, ecumenical expression.
The motto of the World Day of Prayer movement is Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action. Through our participation in the World Day of Prayer, we affirm that prayer and action are inseparable and that both have immeasurable influence on the world.

The 2016 program guide is available on line now! Plan your summer accordingly!

Week 1
Sunday, July 10 – Saturday, July 16, 2016
Spirit Links
with Trevor Fisher and Helena-Rose Houldcroft
Golf is a game that mimics life. One moment you are soaring with eagles, the next you are in the doldrums; and these conditions have nothing to do with ability.
One can be "unlucky" and what should have been a perfect position turns out that something small and insignificant has turned your position to a humiliating impossibility.
Solutions to these crazy-making scenarios in golf can be applied to life off the course, which is where Spirit Links comes in.
During the week we will play five different courses, all close to the Centre, in the company of our fellow golfers, all of differing golfing talent.
We will support each other and provide opportunities to try different ways of getting that uncooperative ball into the hole with fewer strokes. It's a great week of fun and instruction.

Seniors' Week
Mark, Mission, and Modernity
with Harold Munn

Evangelizing in a secular context has been a difficult challenge for the modern church because so many of our foundational faith assumptions no longer carry much weight with people of our time.
Many of us are puzzled by our grandchildren not attending church or even being baptized.
We will explore what has changed and what has not changed in the way secular people see the world, and we will find in Mark's gospel some directions which may enable effective evangelism in our day.

Course fee: $250

Annual Vestry Meeting – February 14 after church – come on out and discuss all things St. Paul’s related.

Please bring a finger food dish for sharing (potluck)

On Friday February 12, at 11 am the Central Interior family is invited to gather at St Paul’s Cathedral for a memorial service to give thanks to God for the life and ministry of Bishop Jim Cruickshank.  Archbishop Fred Hiltz, Archbishop John Privett and others from outside of the Central Interior will be joining us.  This date was selected as it is the closest day to the anniversary date of his consecration as Bishop of Cariboo on February 9, 1992 and that seemed convenient for the community.  A reception will follow in the Cathedral Hall.
As we gather as the Cariboo family of Bishop Jim, I am inviting the clergy (colour white) and LMWS to robe.  Pastoral Elders and the Canons of Cariboo and the Central Interior are invited to join the procession.  Visiting clergy and ecumenical partners are also invited to robe.  Please confirm your attendance with the APCI office by February 5, 2016 - apci@shaw.ca.

In honour of Bishop Jim’s legacy as Bishop of Cariboo and his ministry throughout the church, a Legacy Fund in memory of Bishop Jim Cruickshank, has been set up in the APCI Investment Fund.  Donations can be made to the APCI office at 360 Nicola St, Kamloops, BC V2C  clearly marked in Memory of Bishop Jim.

As families do at the time of the death of one of its beloved members, we will gather to story tell and to share those stories with one another.  We are inviting you to write your story of Bishop Jim.  These stories will be published in a booklet and shared with Bishop Jim’s family and the wider church family.  We would like to publish some of these stories in the next LINK (deadline January 28).  Please submit your stories toapcibishop@shaw.ca by January 28 for inclusion in the LINK and the booklet for the service on February 12.  We will continue to collect stories until the end of March for inclusion in a final booklet.  We welcome high resolution pictures along with your stories or just send us a picture.

FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 2016 - SUNDAY, MARCH 6, 2016
Courage to Teach ®
A Courage & Renewal ® Program for Educators
with Dan Hines
We teach who we are.
The best teaching arises from the identity and integrity of the one who teaches.
Teaching can never be reduced to techniques and methods.
During this program, educators are invited to reflect on questions of selfhood and teaching: “Who is the self that teaches?
How does the quality of my selfhood form-or deform-the way I relate
to my students, my subject, my colleagues, my world?”

Course Fee: $580, includes instruction, meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), accommodation based on double occupancy.
